The best Jobber alternatives in 2026

Short answer: Stay with Jobber if you run a small residential crew: Core is $29/month billed annually and the plans are clearly priced. Pick Housecall Pro for a close match with more included at five users, or Service Fusion if per-user pricing is the problem.

Starting prices are the lowest paid plan, checked on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026. G2 ratings are shown only when we confirmed them.

Jobber is one of the most common starting points for home service businesses: lawn care, cleaning, landscaping, handyman, pressure washing and similar trades. It covers quotes, scheduling, invoicing and online payments in one app, and the entry plan is cheap. So why do people shop for Jobber alternatives?

Usually it comes down to the plan structure. Jobber's cheapest plan includes one user. Automated client reminders, QuickBooks sync, routing and GPS tracking start one plan up. Job costing and two-way texting start two plans up. Crew scheduling, API access and Jobber's AI Receptionist without an add-on fee only come with the top plan, which starts at five users. As a team grows, the bill grows with it, and some owners start to wonder whether another tool gives them more for the same money.

This page compares Jobber with six alternatives: Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge, Service Fusion and Zuper. We compared each vendor's published plans, prices, feature tables and help pages in October 2026. Four of the seven vendors (ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge and Zuper) do not publish prices, so for those we say "pricing by quote" and stick to what their own sites list.

What matters most when you compare Jobber with alternatives:

  • Your trade. HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops need price books, service agreements and dispatch boards. Lawn care and cleaning crews need recurring jobs, routing and simple quotes. Roofing and exteriors teams need estimates, photos and project tracking.
  • Your team size and how pricing scales. Jobber and Housecall Pro price by plan with a set number of users. Service Fusion charges a flat fee with unlimited users. ServiceTitan prices per technician.
  • Which plan unlocks the feature you actually need. The entry price is rarely the price you pay. Check where reminders, routing, QuickBooks sync, job costing and API access sit.
  • Residential versus commercial work. Most tools here are built for residential service. ServiceTitan sells separate commercial solutions, and Zuper focuses on configurable workflows for more complex operations.

Why People Look for Jobber Alternatives

Before the alternatives, it helps to be precise about what Jobber charges and where its plans draw lines. Everything below comes from Jobber's pricing page.

Jobber's plans and user limits

Jobber has four plans: Core, Connect, Grow and Plus. Each has three billing options: monthly with no commitment, monthly with a 1-year commitment, and annual (billed annually, prepaid). Prices below are the annual rate, with the no-commitment monthly rate in brackets.

  • Core: $29/month ($49 monthly), 1 user.
  • Connect: $99/month ($139) for 1 user, $149 ($199) for 5 users, $229 ($299) for 10 users, $299 ($399) for 15 users.
  • Grow: $149/month ($199) for 1 user, $229 ($299) for 5 users, $299 ($399) for 10 users, $399 ($499) for 15 users.
  • Plus: $399/month ($499) for 5 users, $449 ($599) for 10 users, $529 ($699) for 15 users.

Jobber defines a user as "anyone who accesses your account at the office or in the field to view or manage the team's schedule", and lists extra users at $29/month each. Teams of 16 or more are asked to contact sales.

Features gated to higher plans

This is where most of the frustration comes from. According to Jobber's plan comparison table:

  • Core has quoting, scheduling, invoicing, online booking, the client hub, a website, card payments and reporting. It does not include automated client notifications (appointment reminders), routing, GPS tracking, checklists, time tracking, expense tracking, automatic payments, automated quote and invoice follow-ups, custom fields, Zapier or QuickBooks Online and Xero sync.
  • Connect adds all of those. It still leaves out two-way text messaging, job costing, the custom automation builder, Find a Time scheduling suggestions, automatic (geofenced) time tracking, and optional line items and markups on quotes.
  • Grow adds those. It leaves out crew scheduling, job profit alerts, the files and media library, custom report builder, revenue goals, receipt capture, supplier invoice scanning, API access with an API tour, Premium Support and data import.
  • Plus includes everything, and also bundles Receptionist (Jobber's AI call and text answering), Pipeline and the Marketing Suite. On the other plans these are add-ons: Marketing Suite is listed at $99/month, Receptionist at $29/month and Pipeline at $49/month.

So a two-person crew that wants appointment reminders and QuickBooks sync can't stay on Core. A company that wants to see job profitability needs Grow. A company that wants API access needs Plus, which starts at $399/month billed annually.

Contract terms

Jobber's FAQ says the 1-year commitment option has a 12-month minimum term billed monthly, and if you cancel during the year you keep paying monthly until the term ends. Annual plans are billed up front and the payment is non-refundable if you cancel. Monthly no-commitment plans can be cancelled at any time. Check which option you're on before you plan a switch.

None of this makes Jobber a bad product. It's a common way to price software. But if the feature you need sits two tiers up, a competitor that puts it lower can be cheaper.

Jobber

Jobber is an all-in-one app for home service businesses. Its pages and community are aimed at "home service pros", and it is a strong fit for owner-operators and small crews that do residential work.

What it does well

Jobber's Core plan is cheap and complete enough to run a one-person business: client manager (CRM), requests, online booking, quotes, scheduling, invoicing, a client hub where customers approve quotes and pay, a simple website and built-in reports. Card payments are 2.9% + 30¢, Tap to Pay is 2.7% + 30¢ and ACH bank payments are 1%, according to Jobber's pricing page. Jobber AI Voice and AI Chat are included on every plan.

From Connect up you get routing, GPS tracking, automated reminders, automatic payments, checklists, time and expense tracking and QuickBooks Online or Xero sync. Grow adds job costing, two-way texting, custom automations and richer quotes with optional line items. The mobile app is available in Spanish for team members (not admins or account owners).

Pricing

Core $29/month billed annually ($39 with a 1-year commitment, $49 with no commitment). Connect from $99/month billed annually for 1 user. Grow from $149/month billed annually for 1 user. Plus from $399/month billed annually for 5 users. Extra users $29/month each. 14-day free trial on the Grow plan, no credit card required.

Pros

  • Very low entry price for a solo operator
  • Clear, published pricing at every team size up to 15 users
  • Online booking, client hub and website on every plan
  • Large app marketplace, plus QuickBooks Online, Xero and Zapier from Connect

Cons

  • Core includes one user and no automated reminders, routing or QuickBooks sync
  • Job costing and two-way texting require Grow
  • Crew scheduling, API access and Premium Support are Plus only
  • Receptionist, Marketing Suite and Pipeline are paid add-ons below Plus

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use Jobber if you are a small residential crew (lawn care, cleaning, handyman, landscaping) and want a tidy app with transparent prices. Skip it if you run a larger HVAC or plumbing shop that needs memberships, call booking and a full dispatch board, or if you have a big field team and want unlimited users at a flat price.

Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro is the most direct Jobber alternative. It targets the same home service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping and others, according to its pricing page FAQ) with a similar mix of booking, scheduling, invoicing and payments.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

The main difference is how many users and features each plan includes. Housecall Pro's Basic plan lists online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing, payments and consumer financing, a price book, job costing and review management. Job costing on the entry plan is worth noting, since Jobber holds it back until Grow.

Essentials includes five users and adds routes (group and sequence jobs), flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports, employee GPS tracking, commissions and QuickBooks Online sync. Max includes eight users and adds the sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization based on real drive time and traffic, open API access, a dedicated onboarding specialist and escalated phone support. The pricing FAQ says Zapier and the open API come with Max.

Housecall Pro also sells add-ons, including CSR AI (AI call and chat answering), Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Business Coaching, Voice, Campaigns, VGPS/Dashcams, Tap to Pay and Websites. The pricing page does not list prices for these.

Pricing

Basic $59/month billed annually ($79 monthly), 1 user. Essentials $149/month billed annually ($189 monthly), 5 users. Max $299/month billed annually ($329 monthly), 8 users, $35/month per additional user. 14-day free trial on the Max plan with no credit card. No long-term contracts, according to the FAQ. Card processing from 2.59%, and bank payments carry a 1% fee.

Pros

  • Essentials includes five users, routes, GPS and QuickBooks sync
  • Price book and job costing on the entry plan
  • No long-term contract required
  • Live phone and chat support on every plan

Cons

  • Basic includes only one user
  • Route optimization, service plans and API access are Max only
  • Add-on prices are not published on the pricing page
  • Price for extra users on Basic and Essentials is not listed

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use Housecall Pro if you like Jobber's style but want more users and features for your money at the five-person mark, or if you want job costing without paying for Jobber Grow. Skip it if you are a solo operator who only needs basic quoting and invoicing (Jobber Core is cheaper at $29 versus $59 billed annually) or if you have a large team and want unlimited users.

ServiceTitan

ServiceTitan is the heavyweight in this comparison. It is built for established trade contractors, with separate residential and commercial solutions and trades from HVAC, plumbing and electrical to roofing, garage doors, pest control and fire and life safety.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

ServiceTitan sells three packages: Starter, Essentials and The Works. Its pricing page lists dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, a price book, mobile estimates, payroll management, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships across its packages, with configurable payroll in The Works. On top of the core software it sells "Pro" products, including AI Virtual Agent, Marketing Pro, Contact Center Pro, Pricebook Pro, Fleet Pro, Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro and Field Pro, plus payments, integrated financing and accounts payable.

For a company leaving Jobber because it has outgrown a small-business app, this is the most complete option. Call booking and call recording, memberships and marketing attribution are the kind of tools a multi-truck HVAC or plumbing shop uses every day, and ServiceTitan's published feature list is the widest in this group.

Pricing

Pricing by quote. ServiceTitan's pricing page says its pricing is per technician, and all three packages say "Request Pricing". The demo form asks for your industry, number of technicians and whether you have at least one full-time office employee. No free trial is listed.

Pros

  • The broadest feature set here, from call booking to payroll and memberships
  • Separate commercial and residential solutions
  • Deep reporting and marketing attribution
  • Large set of add-on products for specific needs

Cons

  • No published prices; you need a sales call to get a number
  • Per-technician pricing adds up as the field team grows
  • Many advanced capabilities are separate Pro products
  • More software than a small residential crew needs

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use ServiceTitan if you run an established HVAC, plumbing or electrical business with an office team and want one system for the whole company, residential or commercial. Skip it if you are a small crew, a lawn care or cleaning business, or anyone who wants to see prices before talking to sales.

Workiz

Workiz is a field service app with a strong focus on communication. Every plan includes a local phone number, and it sells AI phone, answering and marketing tools as add-ons. Its industry pages lead with HVAC, plumbing, electrician, garage door, locksmith and appliance repair.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

Workiz has three plans: Standard, Pro and Ultimate. All include unlimited jobs, invoices, estimates and clients, a local number, recurring jobs, built-in reports, a client portal, a price book, online booking with optional checkout, QuickBooks Online sync, subcontractor management, fleet tracking and team location tracking. That puts QuickBooks sync and location tracking on the entry plan, where Jobber holds them back until Connect.

Pro adds multi-location management, roles and permissions, performance pay, custom reports, Genius Leads and Genius Scheduling, and 10 automations (Standard has 5). Ultimate adds 30 automations, sales proposals, checklists, flat rate, multi-day jobs, inventory, service plans, purchase orders, equipment tracking, franchise management, Zapier and the open API.

The Genius add-ons (Genius Phone, Genius Answering and Genius Marketing) are sold separately. Genius Phone covers call insights, 2-way texting, call flows and call masking. Genius Answering answers calls and inbox messages in English, Spanish and French and can transfer live to your team.

Pricing

Pricing by quote. Workiz's pricing page shows Standard, Pro and Ultimate with a "Request pricing" button and no prices. The FAQ says annual plans are discounted compared with monthly billing ("save $400+"). 7-day free trial, no credit card required.

Pros

  • QuickBooks sync, fleet tracking and online booking on every plan
  • Local number included on all plans
  • Multi-location management from Pro
  • Phone and AI answering tools built for service calls

Cons

  • No published prices
  • Two-way texting and call flows sit in the paid Genius Phone add-on
  • Checklists, inventory, service plans and API access are Ultimate only
  • Short 7-day trial

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use Workiz if your business lives on the phone, such as locksmith, garage door or appliance repair, and you want call handling tied to jobs. Skip it if you want to compare prices without a sales call, or if checklists and service plans matter to you but you don't want the top plan.

FieldEdge

FieldEdge targets HVAC, plumbing and electrical contractors, with industry pages for locksmiths and appliance repair as well. It is a natural option for shops that rely on flat-rate pricing and QuickBooks.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

FieldEdge has three plans: Select, Premier and Elite. Every plan includes call booking, work orders, scheduling, reporting, tech time tracking, invoices, a price book with flat-rate pricing, purchases, integrated payments, integrated SMS texting, custom forms, automated alerts, reminders, lead tracking and QuickBooks Online and Desktop integration. QuickBooks Desktop support is rare in this group and matters to shops that never moved to QuickBooks Online.

Premier adds advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, advanced service agreements, performance and commission tracking, prospect tracking and 10 saved reports. Elite adds unlimited saved reports, outbound call recording, Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge with 2-way texting, warehouse inventory management (only for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Advanced Inventory) and a consumer management portal. Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge and the portal can be added to the lower plans for an extra price. Mobile app licenses included: 2 on Select, 4 on Premier and 6 on Elite.

Support also varies by plan: the FAQ says Select members get chat support, Premier members get email or phone, and Elite members get a dedicated customer success representative.

Pricing

Pricing by quote. FieldEdge's FAQ says pricing varies by how many technicians or employees you have and which add-ons you need. No free trial: FieldEdge says it prefers to walk new members through onboarding, including transferring their data. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current contract period.

Pros

  • Flat-rate price book on every plan
  • QuickBooks Online and Desktop integration on all plans
  • Onboarding specialist and data transfer included
  • Service agreements on every plan, advanced from Premier

Cons

  • No published prices and no free trial
  • Only 2 mobile app licenses on Select
  • Phone support starts on Premier
  • Downgrades wait until the end of your contract period

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use FieldEdge if you run an HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop that prices by flat rate and keeps its books in QuickBooks, especially QuickBooks Desktop. Skip it if you are a lawn care or cleaning business, or if you want to try the software before you talk to sales.

Service Fusion

Service Fusion is the clearest answer to "Jobber charges me per user". Every plan includes unlimited users, and the price is published.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

Service Fusion has three plans: Starter, Plus and Pro. Starter includes customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, integrated payments, QuickBooks integration, invoicing, payment processing, project management, reporting and text messaging alerts. Plus adds job photo uploads, inventory management, job costing and integrated voice and text. Pro adds the open API, custom documents, eSign documents, a customer web portal, and progress billing and recurring invoicing. ServiceCall.ai (VoIP with AI) and GPS fleet tracking are add-ons on every plan.

Service Fusion's FAQ says it integrates with both QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and that pricing is the same whether you have "one technician and one dispatcher or 20 technicians and a full office". All plans come with no contract requirement, personalized onboarding and unlimited support by email, phone or live chat.

Pricing

Starter $208/month billed annually ($245 monthly). Plus $325/month billed annually ($382 monthly). Pro $533/month billed annually ($627 monthly). Annual pricing is charged as one payment at sign-up and saves 15%. Unlimited users on every plan. Plans are month-to-month with no contract. The pricing page offers a free demo; we did not find a free trial listed.

Pros

  • Unlimited users on every plan, so cost doesn't rise with headcount
  • Published prices
  • QuickBooks Online and Desktop integration
  • No contract, with onboarding and phone support included

Cons

  • Starter costs more than Jobber or Housecall Pro for a solo operator or small crew
  • Job costing and photo uploads need Plus
  • Customer portal and API need Pro
  • GPS fleet tracking is an add-on on every plan

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use Service Fusion if you have a growing team (roughly ten or more people using the software) and per-user pricing has become the biggest line on your bill. Skip it if you are a solo operator or a crew of two or three, since Jobber Core or Housecall Pro Basic will cost far less.

Zuper

Zuper is a configurable field service platform. Its website now leads with roofing and exteriors (estimates, intelligent quoting, photo and video capture, procurement, subcontractor work orders) alongside general field service management for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool service, landscaping, solar and manufacturing.

What it does well for Jobber switchers

Zuper's field service pages list work order management, drag-and-drop scheduling, AI-powered dispatching, location intelligence with geofencing and mileage tracking, automated invoicing from approved estimates, Stripe payments and sync with QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books. It also lists asset management, inventory and a dispatch board, 60+ integrations, a developer API, and a set of AI agents (CSR Agent, Field Agent, Weather Agent, Sales Coach Agent and Reputation Agent).

The appeal for Jobber users is configurability. If your process has many steps, custom checklists or approvals that Jobber's plans can't model, Zuper is built to be shaped around them.

Pricing

Pricing by quote. Zuper does not have a public pricing page; its site says to schedule a demo "to see features in action and learn about pricing options".

Pros

  • Highly configurable workflows and checklists
  • Strong roofing and exteriors features
  • Accounting sync with QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books
  • AI agents and a documented developer API

Cons

  • No published prices or self-serve plans
  • Needs setup time to configure well
  • Less focused on simple residential service than Jobber
  • Sold through demos, so there is no quick self-serve start

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use Zuper if you run a roofing, exteriors or other project-heavy business with workflows too complex for a simple app. Skip it if you want to sign up today and be running tomorrow, or if a straightforward quote-schedule-invoice flow is all you need.

What It Costs: Real Examples

Here is what each published-price vendor costs per year at common team sizes, using annual billing (the monthly rate times 12). ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge and Zuper sell by quote, so they are not included. Payment processing fees, taxes and add-ons are extra.

Solo operator (1 user)

  • Jobber Core: $29 x 12 = $348/year. Add automated reminders and QuickBooks sync with Connect: $99 x 12 = $1,188/year.
  • Housecall Pro Basic: $59 x 12 = $708/year.
  • Service Fusion Starter: $208 x 12 = $2,496/year.

For a solo operator, Jobber Core is the cheapest way in. Housecall Pro Basic costs more but includes job costing and a price book.

Five-person crew (5 users, with routing, GPS and QuickBooks sync)

  • Jobber Connect (5 users): $149 x 12 = $1,788/year.
  • Housecall Pro Essentials (5 users included): $149 x 12 = $1,788/year.
  • Jobber Grow (5 users), if you also want job costing and two-way texting: $229 x 12 = $2,748/year.
  • Service Fusion Starter: $2,496/year, or Plus (adds job costing) $325 x 12 = $3,900/year.

At five users, Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials cost the same. Housecall Pro Essentials adds flat-rate pricing, commissions and photo reports, and includes job costing from its Basic plan. Jobber Connect includes automated follow-ups and custom fields.

Ten-person team (10 users, with job costing)

  • Jobber Grow (10 users): $299 x 12 = $3,588/year.
  • Housecall Pro Max (8 users + 2 extra at $35/month): ($299 + $70) x 12 = $4,428/year. Max is the plan that lists a per-user price for extra users; Housecall Pro does not list one for Essentials.
  • Service Fusion Plus (unlimited users): $325 x 12 = $3,900/year.

Fifteen-person team (15 users)

  • Jobber Grow (15 users): $399 x 12 = $4,788/year. Jobber Plus (15 users): $529 x 12 = $6,348/year.
  • Housecall Pro Max (8 users + 7 extra): ($299 + $245) x 12 = $6,528/year.
  • Service Fusion Plus (unlimited users): $3,900/year. Service Fusion Pro, with API and customer portal: $533 x 12 = $6,396/year.

The pattern is clear. Jobber is cheapest at the small end. Housecall Pro matches it at five users. Once you pass ten or so users, Service Fusion's flat price starts to win, and it keeps winning as the team grows, because adding the 20th or 30th person costs nothing extra.

How to Choose

Start with your trade

  • Lawn care, landscaping, cleaning, pressure washing, handyman: Jobber or Housecall Pro. Both are built for residential recurring work and simple quotes.
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical: Housecall Pro for smaller shops; FieldEdge if you price by flat rate and use QuickBooks; ServiceTitan once you have an office team, memberships and several trucks.
  • Locksmith, garage door, appliance repair: Workiz, for its phone-first tools.
  • Roofing and exteriors: Zuper.

Then look at team size

  • 1 to 2 people: Jobber Core or Housecall Pro Basic. Paying for Service Fusion or a quote-based platform is hard to justify.
  • 3 to 8 people: Jobber Connect or Grow, or Housecall Pro Essentials or Max. Compare the exact plan that includes the features you need.
  • 10+ people: Service Fusion's unlimited users, or a quote from ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Workiz or Zuper.

Check the one feature that made you look

Write down the feature that sent you shopping, then find the lowest plan that includes it at each vendor:

  • Automated reminders: Jobber Connect. FieldEdge lists reminders on every plan, and Service Fusion lists text messaging alerts on Starter.
  • QuickBooks sync: Jobber Connect, Housecall Pro Essentials, every Workiz plan, every FieldEdge plan, every Service Fusion plan.
  • Job costing: Jobber Grow, Housecall Pro Basic, Service Fusion Plus.
  • Routing: Jobber Connect (routing that optimizes daily or weekly routes). Housecall Pro has routes on Essentials and route optimization with live traffic on Max.
  • API access: Jobber Plus, Housecall Pro Max, Workiz Ultimate, Service Fusion Pro.
  • Unlimited users: Service Fusion only.

Decide residential or commercial

If more of your work is commercial (multi-site customers, service agreements, construction or replacement projects), ServiceTitan sells dedicated commercial solutions. FieldEdge includes service agreements on every plan, and Service Fusion Pro includes progress billing and recurring invoicing. Jobber and Housecall Pro describe themselves as built for home service businesses.

Ask about switching costs

Before you leave Jobber, check your contract term. If you are on the 1-year commitment or a prepaid annual plan, you pay until the term ends. Then ask the new vendor what onboarding includes. FieldEdge includes an onboarding specialist and data transfer, Service Fusion includes personalized onboarding, and Housecall Pro Max includes a dedicated onboarding specialist.

Final Recommendations

  • Stay with Jobber if you are a small residential crew and its plan limits don't pinch yet. Core is the cheapest serious option here, and Connect and Grow are fairly priced for small teams.
  • Switch to Housecall Pro if you want something very close to Jobber but with more included at the five-user mark and job costing on the entry plan.
  • Switch to Service Fusion if per-user pricing is the problem. From roughly ten users up, unlimited users at a flat price is hard to beat.
  • Move up to ServiceTitan if you are an established HVAC, plumbing or electrical company with an office team, and you want one system for call booking, dispatch, memberships, payroll and reporting.
  • Choose Workiz if your work starts with a phone call and you want calls, texts and AI answering tied to jobs.
  • Choose FieldEdge if you run on flat-rate pricing and QuickBooks Desktop or Online.
  • Choose Zuper if you run roofing or a complex multi-step operation that needs configurable workflows.

Whatever you pick, use the free trial or demo on a real week of jobs, and price the exact plan that includes the feature that made you look in the first place.

Frequently asked questions

For most home service businesses, Housecall Pro is the closest alternative. Its Essentials plan costs $149/month billed annually and includes five users, routes, employee GPS tracking and QuickBooks Online sync, the same price as Jobber Connect with five users. If per-user pricing is the problem, Service Fusion includes unlimited users on every plan from $208/month billed annually.
