Best LinkedIn Automation Tools in 2026

Short answer: Expandi is the best LinkedIn automation tool for most sales teams: cloud-based, with a dedicated IP per account, auto warm-up, enforced limits, LinkedIn plus email sequences and native CRM sync, from $79 per account per month billed annually. Pick Dripify for a cheaper cloud tool with published limits, Waalaxy for the lowest cloud price, lemlist if email is your main channel, or Octopus CRM as a budget Chrome extension. LinkedIn prohibits automation tools, so every option carries account risk.

Starting prices are the lowest paid plan, checked on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026. G2 ratings are shown only when we confirmed them.

LinkedIn automation tools send connection requests, follow-up messages, profile visits and sometimes emails for you, on a schedule, from your own LinkedIn account. They replace hours of manual clicking with a sequence that runs every working day.

They also carry a risk most software doesn't: LinkedIn does not allow them.

LinkedIn's own help page, "Prohibited software and extensions", says LinkedIn does not permit third-party software, bots, browser plug-ins or extensions that scrape, change the look of, or automate activity on its website. It says these tools break the User Agreement (Section 8.2) and that members who use them risk having their accounts restricted or shut down. That applies to every tool on this page, cloud or extension. No vendor can make LinkedIn automation "safe". The best they can do is lower the risk with slower pacing, limits and warm-up. If your LinkedIn account is central to your job or business, weigh that before you buy anything.

This guide compares six tools: Expandi, Dripify, Waalaxy, lemlist, PhantomBuster and Octopus CRM. We checked each vendor's pricing page, plan details, help center and safety pages in October 2026. All prices are USD list prices as shown to a US visitor. This is a research comparison of what each vendor publishes, not a hands-on test.

What matters most when buying a LinkedIn automation tool:

  • Cloud or browser extension. Cloud tools keep running when your laptop is closed. Extensions run inside your Chrome session.
  • Account safety controls. Dedicated IPs, warm-up, randomized timing and enforced limits.
  • Limits. What a plan allows, and whether the vendor publishes it.
  • Multichannel. Whether email steps sit in the same sequence as LinkedIn steps.
  • Price per LinkedIn account. Most tools charge per seat, and one seat is one LinkedIn account. PhantomBuster is the exception.

Two changes matter if you are shopping now. Waalaxy removed its Chrome extension on July 1, 2026 and is now fully cloud-based, and its free plan is no longer offered: you need a paid plan (after a 14-day trial) to import prospects and launch campaigns. That leaves Octopus CRM as the only extension-only tool on this list.

Expandi

Expandi is a cloud-based LinkedIn outreach tool built around account safety. Each LinkedIn account gets a dedicated IP address in your country, and campaigns run on Expandi's servers, with no browser extension.

Key features:

  • Cloud-based automation with a dedicated country-based IP per LinkedIn account
  • Profile auto warm-up: new campaigns start slowly and you set how fast activity grows
  • Limit ranges for connections, messages, InMails and event invites that Expandi says it won't let you go over
  • If/then sequence builder that mixes LinkedIn actions with email follow-ups from any email provider
  • Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive sync, plus webhooks, API and Zapier
  • An MCP integration (beta) that connects Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your Expandi account, with actions you approve before they send

Pricing: There is one main plan, Business, with every feature included. It costs $99 per seat per month on monthly billing or $79 per seat per month on annual billing paid upfront (20% off, which Expandi describes as two months free). Each seat covers one LinkedIn account. The Agency plan is custom-priced for 10 or more seats and adds roles and permissions, client reports, a dedicated customer success manager and white label. There is no free plan; the 7-day trial includes all features, and Expandi says it only charges once you decide to keep using it. Personalized images and GIFs (Hyperise) and video (Sendspark) are paid add-ons.

Pros:

  • The most complete published safety controls here: dedicated IP, warm-up and enforced limit ranges
  • One plan with every feature, so you don't hit a feature wall
  • Native sync with the three most common sales CRMs

Cons:

  • Among the most expensive per LinkedIn account; only lemlist Multichannel costs more
  • Image and video personalization cost extra
  • Agency pricing is not published
  • Only a 7-day trial

Who it's for: Sales teams and agencies running LinkedIn outreach as a main channel, where losing an account would hurt, and who want CRM sync without Zapier.

Who should skip it: Solo users testing LinkedIn outreach on a small budget. At $79 to $99 per account, Waalaxy or Dripify Pro cost less for the same basic job.

Dripify

Dripify runs LinkedIn "drip" campaigns from the cloud, so they keep going when your computer is off. Like Expandi, it gives each account a dedicated IP in your location. It is cheaper than Expandi and publishes its daily action ranges (see the limits section below).

Key features:

  • Cloud-based campaigns with a dedicated IP tied to your account in your location
  • Human-like behaviour: randomized timing and actions only inside the working hours you set
  • Adaptive activity control (Advanced plan) that adjusts pace to your account's own history
  • LinkedIn and email steps in the same sequence on every paid plan; connect Gmail or Google Workspace, and email sending is not metered
  • Built-in email finder with 100 credits a month (credits only count successful finds)
  • A/B testing and step analytics on Advanced
  • Inbox, HubSpot, Zapier, Make, an open API and an MCP server
  • Works with free LinkedIn accounts; Sales Navigator is optional

Pricing:

  • Pro: $79 per user per month billed monthly, or $59 billed annually. Unlimited campaigns, LinkedIn plus email sequences, 100 email finder credits a month, built-in LinkedIn protection, inbox, HubSpot, API and 24/7 live support.
  • Advanced: $99 per user per month billed monthly, or $79 billed annually. Adds team management, advanced LinkedIn protection with adaptive activity control, A/B testing, step analytics, lead tagging and evergreen leads.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing, with premium onboarding and a customer success manager.

Each seat connects one LinkedIn account. The 7-day trial needs no credit card, gives you Advanced features, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends. Email finder credits are valid for 30 days and don't roll over; extra packs start at $29 for 1,000.

Pros:

  • Cloud-based with a dedicated IP, randomized timing and working-hours sending
  • LinkedIn and email in one sequence on every paid plan, with an email finder included
  • Publishes its daily action ranges openly

Cons:

  • Priced per LinkedIn account, $59 to $99 per user per month
  • A/B testing, team management and adaptive activity control need Advanced
  • Only 100 email finder credits a month, with no rollover
  • Native CRM integration is HubSpot only; other CRMs go through Zapier or Make

Who it's for: Individual reps and small sales teams who want cloud LinkedIn plus email in one tool, with safety controls, at a lower price than Expandi.

Who should skip it: Teams on Salesforce or Pipedrive who want a native integration (Expandi has both), and anyone who only needs a few hundred invitations a month (Waalaxy Pro is a quarter of the price).

Waalaxy

Waalaxy is the cheapest cloud option here, with ready-made sequences for quick setup. It used to run as a Chrome extension and had a free plan. Both are gone: Waalaxy's help center says that on July 1, 2026 it removed the Chrome extension and became "100% cloud", so campaigns run in the background from the web app at app.waalaxy.com, in any browser. An optional extension (Alien Copilot) can speed up prospect imports, but it isn't required.

Key features:

  • Fully cloud-based since July 2026; no extension needed and no need to stay on LinkedIn
  • 99+ ready-made outreach sequences with automated LinkedIn follow-ups
  • LinkedIn plus email campaigns and cold email sequences on the Business plan
  • Native two-way HubSpot and Pipedrive sync; 2,000+ tools via Zapier, Make and n8n (from Advanced)
  • Email finder credits on every plan, and an optional LinkedIn Inbox add-on

On safety, Waalaxy says it uses human-like timing, daily action limits and "safe automation rules". It doesn't publish per-day numbers on its pricing page. Its plan limits are monthly instead.

Pricing (US prices; Waalaxy shows prices by visitor location):

  • Pro: $19 per user per month billed monthly, or $16 billed yearly. 300 invitations a month, unlimited campaigns, CRM sync, 25 email finder credits a month.
  • Advanced: $39 per user per month, or $32 billed yearly. 800 invitations a month, API, Make, Zapier and n8n, live chat support.
  • Business: $69 per user per month, or $55 billed yearly. Adds cold email sequences, multichannel LinkedIn plus email campaigns, multiple sender accounts and 500 email finder credits a month.
  • Enterprise: for 5+ seats, with team workspaces, analytics, volume discounts and onboarding. No price published.
  • LinkedIn Inbox add-on: Waalaxy's FAQ lists it at EUR 20 a month, with 500 free conversations first.

Quarterly billing is also offered. Every plan has a 14-day free trial. There is no free plan: Waalaxy's help center says you can browse the app on any plan, but importing prospects and launching campaigns needs a paid subscription.

Pros:

  • Lowest per-user price among the cloud tools here
  • Fully cloud-based now, with no extension or open browser needed
  • Ready-made sequences make setup quick for beginners

Cons:

  • No free plan any more; trial only
  • Email and multichannel campaigns only on the top Business plan
  • Pro is limited to 300 invitations a month, about 10 a day
  • Inbox costs extra after 500 conversations

Who it's for: Founders, solo sellers and recruiters who want simple LinkedIn outreach for under $40 a month, with the option to add email later.

Who should skip it: Teams that need email in every sequence from day one. At $55 to $69 per user for Business, Dripify Pro ($59 to $79) includes email and a dedicated IP.

lemlist

lemlist is a cold email platform first, with LinkedIn steps added to the same sequences. It belongs on this list because it lets one sequence move between email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp, which none of the LinkedIn-first tools match.

LinkedIn features:

  • Automatic LinkedIn steps: profile visit, invitation, message, voice message, InMail (using a Premium sender's credits) and withdraw invitation
  • Conditions such as "invite accepted" or "LinkedIn message opened" to branch the sequence
  • Works with free LinkedIn accounts and Sales Navigator

How LinkedIn connects: lemlist's help center says LinkedIn accounts are connected through the lemlist Chrome extension and your browser session (cookies), with one LinkedIn profile per lemlist seat. The pages we checked don't say whether LinkedIn actions keep running when your browser is closed, so ask lemlist before you buy if that matters to you.

Other features: lemwarm warmup and a Deliverability Hub, a unified inbox, and a lead database (lemlist says 650M+ leads, vendor claim) with email and phone enrichment.

Pricing:

  • Email: priced by email volume with unlimited users and senders, from $69 a month for 50,000 emails ($55 billed yearly). This plan has no LinkedIn steps.
  • Multichannel: $109 per user per month, or $87 billed yearly. Unlimited emails and messages, LinkedIn automation, calls, SMS, 5 email senders per user, and a WhatsApp add-on. This is the plan you need for LinkedIn.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing.

Quarterly billing saves 10% and yearly 20%. Lead data credits are an add-on from $20 a month for 2,000 credits ($16 billed yearly), charged only for successful finds. The 14-day trial includes Multichannel features and 200 credits. There is no free plan.

Pros:

  • True multichannel sequences: email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp
  • Warmup and deliverability tools included, which LinkedIn-first tools don't offer
  • Built-in lead database with pay-per-result enrichment

Cons:

  • LinkedIn needs the per-user Multichannel plan, the highest per-user price here
  • LinkedIn automation depends on the Chrome extension and browser session
  • Lead data, intent signals and WhatsApp cost extra

Who it's for: Teams whose main channel is cold email and who want LinkedIn touches in the same sequence.

Who should skip it: Anyone who only needs LinkedIn outreach. You would pay $87 to $109 per user mainly for email features you won't use.

PhantomBuster

PhantomBuster is different from the rest of this list. It is a library of cloud automations ("Phantoms") and workflows for LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and 15+ other platforms. You can run a LinkedIn outreach campaign with it (connection request, intro message and up to three follow-ups), but its real strength is pulling lead lists from searches, post likes and comments, enriching them, and sending them to other tools.

Key features:

  • 100+ cloud automations and workflows; once launched, they keep running with your browser closed
  • LinkedIn outreach: connection request, intro message and up to three follow-ups
  • Lead extraction from LinkedIn searches, post likes and comments, plus profile and email enrichment
  • HubSpot, Zapier, Make, n8n, pushes to tools like lemlist, and an MCP server

On safety: PhantomBuster says its LinkedIn automations apply caps, randomized delays, working-hour windows and pause rules, and run only through your own accounts (vendor claims). It also publishes suggested limits, covered below.

Pricing: PhantomBuster charges per workspace, not per seat. Every plan has unlimited users and lets you connect multiple LinkedIn accounts. Plans differ by automation slots, execution hours and credits:

  • Start: $69 per month, or $56 billed annually ($672 a year). 5 slots, 20 hours of execution time a month, 500 email credits, 10,000 AI credits and 1,000 URL finder credits a month.
  • Grow: $159 per month, or $128 billed annually ($1,536 a year). 15 slots, 80 hours, 2,500 email credits, 30,000 AI credits, 10,000 URL finder credits.
  • Scale: $439 per month, or $352 billed annually ($4,224 a year). 50 slots, 300 hours, 10,000 email credits, 90,000 AI credits, 20,000 URL finder credits.

When execution time runs out, automations pause; there are no automatic overage charges. The 14-day trial needs no credit card and includes 5 slots, 2 hours of execution time and exports limited to 10 rows.

Pros:

  • Unlimited users and multiple LinkedIn accounts on every plan
  • Cloud-based, with 100+ automations across 15+ platforms
  • Strong lead extraction and enrichment, with AI credits included

Cons:

  • Slots and execution hours take planning, and they are shared across accounts
  • No built-in email sending; you need a separate email tool
  • More setup than a guided sequence tool
  • Trial exports capped at 10 rows

Who it's for: Growth and ops teams building and enriching lead lists from LinkedIn, and teams running several accounts who don't want to pay per seat.

Who should skip it: A rep who just wants a simple connect-and-follow-up sequence with an inbox. Expandi, Dripify or Waalaxy are built for that.

Octopus CRM

Octopus CRM is a Chrome extension. You install it from the Chrome Web Store and it works inside your browser, on your own LinkedIn session, to send connection requests, messages, profile views and skill endorsements. It doesn't offer a cloud mode. It is LinkedIn-only, with no email channel, and it is by far the cheapest tool here.

Be clear about the trade-off. LinkedIn's help page names browser extensions that automate activity as prohibited. Cloud tools fall under the same rule, so this isn't a choice between allowed and banned, but an extension depends on your own browser session. Octopus doesn't say whether automation stops when your computer is off.

Key features:

  • Automated, personalized connection requests, with a filter to connect only with Premium users
  • Bulk messages to 1st-degree connections, auto profile views and auto skill endorsements
  • Funnel builder that chains connect, thank-you message, endorse and follow-up steps
  • Personal CRM dashboard with campaign stats and acceptance and response rates
  • Zapier and HubSpot integration (Unlimited plan only)
  • Works with Free, Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Lite accounts

On safety: Octopus says it adds random delays after each action, doesn't change LinkedIn's interface, hides its code and never asks for your LinkedIn password. It warns that too much activity can get an account flagged, and offers "Activity Control" alerts on the Unlimited plan only. It also promotes "connect by email" to send more invitations after LinkedIn's weekly limit. That is a way around a LinkedIn limit, which raises risk.

Pricing (per LinkedIn account):

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billing (per month)Adds
Starter$9.99$6.99Personal CRM, automated connection requests
Pro$14.99$9.99Bulk messages, auto profile views, endorsements
Advanced$21.99$14.99Campaigns, CSV import and export, funnel builder
Unlimited$39.99$24.99Zapier and HubSpot, Activity Control alerts

Annual billing is 35% off. Agencies managing 20+ accounts can ask for special pricing. The 7-day trial gives full Unlimited access with no credit card. Each subscription is tied to one LinkedIn account; you switch accounts by logging in again in the same browser. The Chrome Web Store listing showed the extension updated on October 12, 2026.

Pros:

  • Cheapest option here, from $6.99 a month billed annually
  • Simple funnels for connect, message, endorse and visit
  • Works with free LinkedIn accounts and every paid tier

Cons:

  • A Chrome extension, not a cloud tool, and LinkedIn names automating extensions as prohibited
  • No email or multichannel sequences
  • Campaigns need Advanced; integrations and Activity Control need Unlimited

Who it's for: Solo users on a tight budget who want basic connection and messaging automation and accept that it runs as a browser extension.

Who should skip it: Teams, anyone who needs email in the same sequence, and anyone who wants campaigns running while their computer is off.

Account Risk: What LinkedIn Says and What Tools Can Do

This is the most important section on the page.

What LinkedIn says. LinkedIn's help article "Prohibited software and extensions" (linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a1341387) says LinkedIn does not permit third-party software, including bots, browser plug-ins and extensions, that scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on its website. It says such tools violate the User Agreement (Section 8.2) and that members who use them risk having their accounts restricted or shut down.

Three things follow from that:

  1. Every tool on this page is covered. The rule names software and bots as well as extensions, so cloud tools are not exempt. Moving from an extension to a cloud tool changes how the automation runs, not whether LinkedIn allows it.
  2. No tool can make automation "safe". When a vendor calls itself "safe", it is describing its own safeguards, not LinkedIn's position. PhantomBuster says this openly: its suggested limits are "risk-aware ranges, not official platform limits".
  3. You carry the risk, not the vendor. A restricted account is your loss, not theirs.

What the tools do to lower risk. These features reduce the risk; they don't remove it:

ToolRuns wherePublished safety features
ExpandiCloudDedicated country-based IP, profile auto warm-up, limit ranges it won't let you exceed
DripifyCloudDedicated IP, randomized timing, working-hours sending, adaptive activity control (Advanced)
WaalaxyCloud (since July 2026)Human-like timing, daily action limits, monthly invitation caps
lemlistChrome extension and browser session for LinkedInSmart limits, human-like delays
PhantomBusterCloudCaps, randomized delays, working-hour windows, pause rules
Octopus CRMChrome extensionRandom delays, no interface changes, Activity Control alerts (Unlimited only)

Ways to lower your own risk, whichever tool you choose:

  • Start slowly on a new or quiet account and raise volume gradually. Expandi automates this with warm-up; PhantomBuster suggests 10 to 15 requests a day for new accounts.
  • Stay well under the vendor's maximum. A tool that allows 75 requests a day doesn't mean you should send 75.
  • Avoid features built to get around LinkedIn's limits, such as sending extra invitations after the weekly cap.
  • Run one tool per LinkedIn account. Two tools acting on the same account at once make your activity harder to control.
  • Don't automate an account you can't afford to lose. If your LinkedIn profile is your business, the safest volume is manual.

Daily and Weekly Limits by Vendor

Every number below is a vendor's own figure or recommendation, not an official LinkedIn number. They differ a lot.

ToolPublished limits or recommendations
ExpandiYou set limit ranges for connections, messages, InMails and event invites; no fixed numbers on the pricing page. Mobile Connector campaigns add 100 connection requests a week (vendor claim).
DripifyUp to 75 connection requests, 100+ messages, 30 Sales Navigator InMails, 200+ profile views, 50+ endorsements, 50+ post likes and 50+ follows a day.
Waalaxy300 invitations a month on Pro, 800 on Advanced and Business. Waalaxy says 800 a month "matches LinkedIn's manual limits" (vendor claim).
lemlistHelp center recommends 20 invitations, 30 profile visits and 30 messages a day, and about 100 to 110 total actions a day. It says LinkedIn caps invitations at roughly 100 per rolling week.
PhantomBusterSuggests 15 to 25 connection requests a day and 60 to 100 a week for established accounts, 10 to 15 a day for new accounts. Usage is also bounded by slots and execution hours.
Octopus CRMSays LinkedIn allows up to 100 connection requests a week and 100 to 150 messages depending on account type.

Notice the gap. lemlist and Octopus both say LinkedIn caps invitations at about 100 a week, and PhantomBuster suggests 60 to 100 a week. Dripify's range allows up to 75 connection requests a day. A tool's maximum is not a recommendation. If several vendors point to roughly 100 invitations a week, planning around that number is the cautious choice.

Waalaxy's caps work out to about 10 invitations a day on Pro (300 / 30) and 27 on Advanced (800 / 30).

Cloud vs Browser Extension

Cloud tools (Expandi, Dripify, Waalaxy, PhantomBuster) run on the vendor's servers. Campaigns keep going when your laptop is closed and the vendor controls pacing and IP addresses (Expandi and Dripify assign a dedicated IP per account). The trade-off: the vendor needs ongoing access to your LinkedIn account to act for you.

Extension tools (Octopus CRM) run inside your own Chrome, on the session you are already logged in to; Octopus says it never asks for your LinkedIn credentials. The trade-off: automation depends on your browser and computer.

lemlist connects LinkedIn through its Chrome extension and browser session (see its section above).

Neither model is allowed under LinkedIn's rules. Pick cloud if campaigns should run without your computer, an extension if price matters most.

Multichannel: LinkedIn Plus Email

Many teams want LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence, so a prospect who ignores an invitation still gets a follow-up. Here's how each tool handles it:

  • Expandi: LinkedIn and email follow-ups in one if/then sequence, with any email provider. A Smartlead integration covers larger cold email programs.
  • Dripify: LinkedIn and email in one sequence on every paid plan, via Gmail or Google Workspace.
  • Waalaxy: LinkedIn only on Pro and Advanced (with 25 email finder credits). Email sequences and LinkedIn plus email campaigns need Business ($55 to $69 per user).
  • lemlist: The broadest: email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp (add-on), plus warmup and deliverability tools.
  • PhantomBuster: Finds and enriches emails but doesn't send them. It pushes leads to email tools like lemlist.
  • Octopus CRM: LinkedIn only.

If email is your main channel and LinkedIn is the extra touch, lemlist is the natural fit. If LinkedIn is the main channel and email is the follow-up, Expandi or Dripify cover it without a second subscription.

Price per LinkedIn Account and Cost Examples

Five of the six tools charge per seat, and one seat is one LinkedIn account (Waalaxy and lemlist call it per user; lemlist allows one LinkedIn profile per seat). PhantomBuster charges per workspace with multiple LinkedIn accounts allowed.

Price per account, with a worked example for 1 and 5 LinkedIn accounts. The 1-account columns are the price per LinkedIn account; the 5-account columns multiply it by five. The examples assume one rep per account, and for Waalaxy that each rep is one user with their own LinkedIn account.

Tool and plan1 account, monthly1 account, annual5 accounts, monthly5 accounts, annual5 accounts, annual total per year
Expandi Business$99$79$495$395$4,740
Dripify Pro$79$59$395$295$3,540
Dripify Advanced$99$79$495$395$4,740
Waalaxy Advanced$39$32$195$160$1,920
Waalaxy Business$69$55$345$275$3,300
lemlist Multichannel$109$87$545$435$5,220
PhantomBuster Start$69$56$69$56$672
PhantomBuster Grow$159$128$159$128$1,536
Octopus CRM Advanced$21.99$14.99$109.95$74.95$899.40

For example, Expandi at 5 accounts on annual billing: 5 x $79 = $395 a month, and $395 x 12 = $4,740 a year, paid upfront. On monthly billing: 5 x $99 = $495 a month.

Notes on the examples:

  • PhantomBuster's price doesn't grow with accounts, but its limits are shared. Start has 5 slots and 20 execution hours a month for the whole workspace. Five accounts each running campaigns will likely need more slots and hours, which is what Grow ($128 to $159) is for. PhantomBuster doesn't publish how many slots or hours one campaign uses, so watch usage on the trial.
  • lemlist's price includes email. At $87 to $109 per user you also get email sequences, warmup and calls, so compare it with a LinkedIn tool plus a separate email tool.
  • Annual prices need upfront payment for Expandi (stated on its pricing page) and Waalaxy (quarterly and yearly). Octopus doesn't say whether its annual plan is billed at once.
  • Add-ons aren't in these numbers: Expandi image and video personalization, Dripify extra email finder credits, Waalaxy's Inbox add-on (EUR 20 a month after 500 conversations), lemlist data credits and WhatsApp.
  • Agency volumes: Expandi (10+ seats) and Octopus (20+ accounts) price by quote.

How to Choose

1. How much would losing this LinkedIn account cost you? If a lot, don't automate it, or keep volumes far below vendor maximums and pick strong safety controls: Expandi (dedicated IP, warm-up, enforced limits) or Dripify (dedicated IP, working-hours sending, adaptive activity control on Advanced).

2. Is LinkedIn your main channel or one step among several?

  • LinkedIn first, with email follow-ups: Expandi or Dripify.
  • LinkedIn only, small budget: Waalaxy Pro or Advanced, or Octopus CRM if an extension is acceptable.
  • Email first, LinkedIn as an extra touch: lemlist Multichannel.
  • Building lead lists from LinkedIn to use elsewhere: PhantomBuster.

3. How many LinkedIn accounts will you run?

  • One account: any tool works; Waalaxy and Octopus are the cheapest.
  • Five or more accounts: per-seat costs add up fast (see the table above). PhantomBuster's per-workspace pricing can be much cheaper if its slots and hours fit your volume. Agencies should ask Expandi about its Agency plan.

Other checks before you buy:

  • CRM. Expandi has native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. Waalaxy has two-way HubSpot and Pipedrive. Dripify and PhantomBuster have HubSpot. Octopus has HubSpot via its Unlimited plan.
  • Trial length. Expandi, Dripify and Octopus offer 7 days; Waalaxy, lemlist and PhantomBuster 14. Dripify, PhantomBuster and Octopus don't need a card.
  • Billing. Annual plans save roughly 15 to 35% but lock you in. Start monthly.

Conclusion

Expandi is our top pick for LinkedIn automation. It has the most complete published safety controls, LinkedIn plus email sequences and native CRM sync. It costs the most per account, at $79 to $99 a month, but every feature is in one plan.

Dripify is the best value alternative from $59 a month billed annually. Waalaxy is now a fully cloud tool and the cheapest of them, but its free plan is gone and email needs the Business plan. lemlist is the right choice when email leads and LinkedIn follows. PhantomBuster suits data extraction and multi-account setups thanks to per-workspace pricing. Octopus CRM remains the budget pick at $6.99 to $39.99 per account, as long as you accept that it is a Chrome extension and LinkedIn-only.

Whatever you choose, remember the rule that sits above all of them: LinkedIn prohibits automation software and extensions, and accounts that use them can be restricted. A good tool lowers the risk. It doesn't remove it.

Frequently asked questions

No. LinkedIn's help page "Prohibited software and extensions" says it does not permit third-party software, bots, browser plug-ins or extensions that scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on its website, and that such tools violate its User Agreement (Section 8.2). This covers cloud tools and Chrome extensions alike.
