Starting prices are the lowest paid plan, checked on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026. G2 ratings are shown only when we confirmed them.

Review management software helps a business get more reviews, answer them, and use them to win the next customer. That one label covers two very different kinds of tool. Local and multi-location businesses (clinics, dealerships, home services, restaurants, retail chains) care about Google reviews, star ratings on maps, accurate listings and fast replies at every location. Online stores care about product reviews on product pages, photo reviews, star ratings in Google Shopping and syndication to social shops. A tool that is excellent at one is usually a poor fit for the other.

This guide compares six review management tools sold in 2026 and is clear about which side each one is on:

  • Local and multi-location tools: Birdeye, Podium and Reputation. They send review requests by text and email after a visit, pull in reviews from Google, Facebook and industry sites, draft replies with AI and (except Podium) manage your business listings.
  • Ecommerce product review tools: Yotpo Reviews and Judge.me. They collect product and store reviews after an order, display them on your store and push star ratings to Google and social shops.
  • In between: Trustpilot. It gives your brand a public profile on Trustpilot.com, collects service reviews and adds product and location reviews as paid add-ons.

We focus on review requests (SMS and email), Google reviews, review responses and AI replies, widgets and syndication, listings, the pricing model and who each tool is for. Prices are in USD and were checked on each vendor's own site in October 2026. Many local tools hide prices behind "contact sales", and we say so plainly rather than guess. We did not test these tools hands-on; everything below comes from vendor pricing pages, product pages and help centers.

Birdeye review

Birdeye sells an AI platform for multi-location brands that covers reviews, listings, social, webchat, surveys and marketing automation. Its "Jay" marketing coworker is a set of AI agents that run these jobs at each location, either on their own or with a human approving each action. For review management, Birdeye combines the widest review site coverage in this comparison with flexible request automations.

Key features

  • Review requests by email or text from the dashboard's Quick Send button, the mobile app, bulk campaigns or automations. Automations can send by email and text, email only, text only, text first with email as a fallback, or email first with text as a fallback, plus optional reminder emails.
  • A review generation agent that, Birdeye says, asks each customer at the moment they are most likely to respond and on the channel that gets the most responses, and prompts for more detailed reviews.
  • Review monitoring on 200+ sites, including Google, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Healthgrades, Zillow, DealerRater, BBB, Amazon and Trustpilot, with email or SMS alerts for new reviews.
  • A review response agent that reads the review text, photos and past visits, replies in your brand voice within your industry rules, and either posts on its own or holds replies for approval.
  • A review marketing agent that turns your best reviews into branded graphics and posts them to social and your website.
  • Listings optimization with native, real-time integrations with Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing. It scans continuously for wrong hours, addresses or phone numbers and applies fixes after one-click approval across locations.
  • A Reputation Score for every location, competitor benchmarks location by location, and ticketing that routes the cause of a bad review to the right team.
  • Integrations with over 3,000 software systems, plus location-level roles, tiered approvals and reporting.

Pricing

Birdeye does not publish prices. The pricing page is a quote form that asks for your number of locations (1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999 or 1,000+). Birdeye says its pricing is "built around outcomes, not seat counts": one platform and one contract, paying for what you deploy at your locations. No plans, free tier or trial are listed. For larger customers, Birdeye describes white-glove implementation, a dedicated success manager for the first 90 days, 24/7 support and optional managed services.

Pros

  • Review monitoring across more sites than any other tool here
  • Request automations with text and email fallbacks, so every customer can be reached
  • AI responses with an approval option, for regulated industries
  • Reviews, listings, social and webchat under one contract

Cons

  • No published pricing, so you cannot compare cost without a sales call
  • No free plan or listed trial
  • The breadth of the platform is more than a single small shop needs

Who it's for: multi-location brands and local service businesses in healthcare, dental, automotive, home services, real estate, restaurants and retail that want reviews, listings and local marketing run from one place.

Who should skip it: online stores that need product reviews on product pages, and single-location owners who want a self-serve tool with a visible price.

Podium review

Podium is a lead conversion and messaging platform for local businesses, with reviews as one of its core products. Reviews live alongside two-way texting, webchat, phones, payments and text marketing, all in one inbox. Podium lists retail, home services, automotive and health and wellness businesses, plus multi-location operators, as its main fit.

Key features

  • Review invites sent by text, to collect reviews on Google, Facebook and industry-specific review sites
  • Review invite and reminder automations
  • Review management with AI responses on every plan; the AI Reputation Specialist on Pro crafts personalized invites and replies
  • One inbox for reviews, texts, calls, webchat and Facebook, Instagram and Google messages
  • A reviews leaderboard, review notes and reporting that tracks total reviews and attribution
  • Unlimited contacts, team members and one-to-one text messages on every plan
  • 200+ integrations with integration support

Pricing

  • Core: $399/month. Review management with AI responses, basic automations and reporting, the mobile app, 250 bulk message credits a month, 5 phone numbers, a dedicated customer success manager and 1-on-1 onboarding.
  • Pro: $599/month. Adds AI Concierge, the AI Reputation Specialist, AI call summaries, automatic lead routing, advanced automations, surveys, text marketing with images and 500 bulk credits.
  • Signature: custom pricing, with AI Scheduler, AI Salesperson, AI Marketer and advanced multi-location management.

Every plan goes through sales, and Podium says the price can vary by industry, partnerships, integrations, volume and carrier fees. Watch the extras: $5/month for each extra phone number, a $5/month base 10DLC fee per US location for business texting, High-Volume Carrier-Verified Messaging at $15/month on Core (included on Pro), and Podium Phones at $30 per user/month (1-4 users) or $25 (5+) with a $500 network optimization fee per location. Usage limits apply to automations (4,000 segments per location per month) and AI messaging (1,500 segments a month), with overages billed. Automated AI review responses are listed as an add-on. No free plan or trial is listed.

Pros

  • One of the few local tools with published starting prices
  • Text-first review requests, which suit customers who never open email
  • Reviews tied into messaging, webchat and payments in one inbox
  • A success manager and personal onboarding on every plan

Cons

  • $399/month is a lot if you only need review requests
  • Extra fees for texting compliance, numbers and phones
  • No listings management on the plan comparison

Who it's for: local businesses such as dealerships, home services, med spas, dental offices and furniture or jewelry retailers that want review invites by text inside a full customer messaging platform.

Who should skip it: businesses that only want review management, multi-location brands that need listings sync, and online stores.

Reputation review

Reputation (reputation.com) is built for multi-location brands that want to see reviews, listings, surveys and social signals across every location and act on them. Unlike Birdeye, it publishes per-location prices, which makes it easier to budget a rollout.

Key features

  • Review requests by SMS or email triggered right after a visit
  • AI Auto-Response, which reads sentiment and drafts a polite, brand-aligned reply
  • A unified review inbox for Google, Facebook, Yelp and industry sites, with routing to the right team and reply templates
  • Listings sync to 100+ platforms, including Google, Apple Maps, Yelp, Bing and Facebook, plus SEO-optimized location pages with schema markup
  • Rep Score, a single reputation score per location, with tracking by brand, region and location and benchmarks against competitors
  • Streaming of top-rated reviews to your website and other channels
  • Surveys, ticketing (Actions), social and competitive insights as plan tiers or upgrades

Pricing

  • Rep Core: $80/location/month. Review collection, requesting and AI responding, plus business listings and SEO.
  • Rep Core + Pulse: $115/location/month. Adds Rep Score and journey insights, the AI Reputation Manager, Pulse analytics and one basic survey template.
  • Rep Core + Surveys: $150/location/month. Adds six custom survey templates, email survey requests, targeted outreach campaigns and deeper experience insights.
  • Enterprise: custom, for 125+ locations, with dedicated infrastructure and a success manager.

Every plan is bought through sales, and the page does not say whether prices are billed monthly or annually. Paid upgrades include Competitive Insights, Actions & Ticketing, Social Suite, Premium Integrations (CRM or EHR) and Managed Services, where Reputation's team handles review responses, listings or social. Premium Sources, such as Yelp, Tripadvisor, Vitals and Apartment Ratings, are also listed as an add-on, so check which review sites your plan covers.

Pros

  • Published per-location prices for planning a rollout
  • Reviews and listings both in the $80 entry plan
  • Surveys and analytics tiers for customer experience teams
  • Managed services if you want someone else to write replies

Cons

  • Some industry review sources are a paid add-on
  • No self-serve signup; every plan goes through sales
  • The per-location cost adds up quickly for a chain of small locations

Who it's for: multi-location brands in healthcare, automotive, real estate, food and beverage, financial services, care and living, and retail that want reviews, listings and feedback priced per location.

Who should skip it: single-location businesses and online stores.

Trustpilot review

Trustpilot is different from the other tools here: it is a public review site. Your company gets a profile on Trustpilot.com, customers leave reviews there, and you display your TrustScore on your own site with TrustBox widgets. Trustpilot started with service reviews (how customers rate the company), and sells product reviews and location reviews as add-ons, which is why it sits between the local and ecommerce groups.

Key features

  • A public company profile on Trustpilot.com; reviews stay on it even if you stop paying
  • Automated review invitations, from 50 a month on Free to unlimited on Enterprise
  • TrustBox widgets to show your TrustScore and reviews on your site
  • A QR code review collector and an in-app review collector
  • eCommerce integrations on every plan; marketing integrations from Plus
  • Product Reviews add-on with product review pages on Trustpilot.com, a Shopify connection and Google Shopping support
  • Location Reviews add-on with a profile per location, bulk location management, branch QR codes and location widgets
  • AI-assisted replies, review follow-up, customizable invitations and an invitation optimizer on Premium and Enterprise only

Pricing

  • Free: $0. 50 automated invitations a month and 1 user.
  • Starter: from $99/month per domain, billed annually. 100 invitations a month, 2 widgets, 1 user, 1 domain. Only for new small business customers with up to $5M revenue.
  • Plus: from $319/month per domain, billed annually. 300 invitations, 10 widgets, 3 users, up to 3 domains, all integrations. 14-day trial.
  • Premium: from $799/month per domain, billed annually. 1,000 invitations, 21 widgets, 10 users, a dedicated success manager and more analytics.
  • Enterprise: contact sales. Unlimited invitations and up to 1,000 users.

All paid contracts are a 12-month commitment, prepaid for the initial term. Prices are per domain, each domain is priced separately, and Trustpilot says your quote also reflects site traffic, business size and annual revenue. Product Reviews, Location Reviews and API access are sold as add-ons.

Pros

  • A real free plan to claim your profile and send 50 invitations a month
  • A well-known independent profile that shoppers can check
  • Reviews stay public on your profile if you cancel
  • Product and location reviews available as you grow

Cons

  • Paid plans need a 12-month prepaid contract
  • Per-domain pricing and add-ons make the real cost hard to predict
  • AI-assisted replies are only on the two top tiers

Who it's for: online brands, service companies and multi-domain businesses that want an independent, public review profile and TrustScore to show on their site.

Who should skip it: local businesses whose main goal is more Google reviews, and small stores that want a low monthly bill without an annual contract.

Yotpo Reviews review

Yotpo Reviews (also called Reviews & UGC) collects and displays product reviews, ratings, photos and videos for online stores. It is a separate product from Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals, though the two work together and can be bought as a bundle. Its strength is getting your reviews out beyond the product page: into Google search, Google Shopping and social shops.

Key features

  • Automatic post-purchase review request emails and automatic SMS and email reminder requests on every plan, including Free
  • Review import, an email template library, sentiment and profanity checks, moderation and review comments with templates on every plan
  • Photo and video reviews, manual review requests, review coupons and a reviews carousel from Starter

  • Premium and Enterprise: custom quotes.

Yotpo offers month-to-month plans and annual contracts, and some features, such as Visual UGC on Pro, come with an annual plan. It notes that non-Shopify platforms may need extra implementation fees. The Reviews + Loyalty bundle starts at $199/month.

Pros

  • $15/month entry for small stores, with a free plan to 50 orders
  • Google Seller Ratings and social shop syndication on Pro
  • Runs on all the major ecommerce platforms, not just Shopify
  • Pairs with Yotpo Loyalty for points-for-reviews programs

Cons

  • The price rises with your total orders
  • AI-assisted replies need a custom-priced Premium plan
  • Extra fees may apply on non-Shopify platforms

Who it's for: growing ecommerce brands on Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or WooCommerce that want product reviews pushed into Google and social shops.

Who should skip it: local businesses that need Google Business Profile reviews, and Shopify stores that want a flat price at any order volume.

Judge.me review

Judge.me is a product reviews app built for Shopify, and it says more than 780,000 Shopify stores use it. Its pitch is pricing: a free plan with unlimited reviews and a single paid plan at a flat $15/month, whatever your order volume. Its Shopify App Store listing shows a 5.0 rating from more than 48,000 merchant reviews.

Key features

  • Unlimited product and store reviews and unlimited photo and video reviews on Free

Judge.me says $15/month is the most you can ever pay, with no order caps or usage fees. The Shopify App Store listing shows a 15-day trial of Awesome and says charges are billed in USD every 30 days. You can cancel any time and stay on Free with your reviews.

Pros

  • A genuinely useful free plan with unlimited reviews
  • Flat $15/month at any order volume
  • The same 24/7 support on Free and paid plans
  • Easy migration with imports from other review apps

Cons

  • Built for Shopify first; check support before choosing it for another platform
  • A product review app, not a tool for Google reviews of physical locations
  • Reminders, AI replies and Google Shopping need the paid plan

Who it's for: Shopify stores of any size, from new stores to Shopify Plus brands, that want full-featured product reviews at a fixed low price.

Who should skip it: local and multi-location businesses, and stores on platforms Judge.me does not support.

Review requests: SMS vs email

How you ask for reviews matters more than any other feature. The local tools lean on text messages because a customer who just left your shop is more likely to tap a link in a text than open an email. Podium is text-first by design. Birdeye can send by text, email or both, with text-first or email-first fallback depending on which contact details you have. Reputation triggers review requests by SMS or email right after a visit.

The ecommerce tools trigger requests from orders instead. Yotpo sends automatic post-purchase review request emails and SMS and email reminders on every plan. Judge.me sends requests after fulfillment or delivery on Free, with automatic reminders on its $15 plan. Trustpilot counts automated invitations against a monthly limit: 50 on Free, 100 on Starter, 300 on Plus and 1,000 on Premium.

Whatever tool you use, follow Google's and each review site's rules on asking for reviews. Ask every customer, not only the happy ones.

Google reviews and listings

For a local business, Google reviews on your Business Profile drive calls and direction requests. Birdeye, Podium and Reputation all collect Google reviews and bring them into one inbox. Birdeye and Reputation also manage listings: Birdeye through native integrations with Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing, and Reputation by syncing to 100+ platforms and building location pages. Podium's plan comparison lists Google, Facebook and industry review sites, but no listings management.

For an online store, "Google reviews" means something else: star ratings in search results (rich snippets), in Google Shopping and next to ads (Google Seller Ratings). Yotpo offers rich snippets from Starter and Seller Ratings from Pro. Judge.me includes rich snippets on Free and Google Shopping on Awesome. Judge.me can also sync Google Business Profile reviews to your store, which helps a shop with a physical location show those reviews online.

Review responses and AI replies

Every tool here lets you reply to reviews, but AI replies are where they differ.

  • Birdeye: a response agent writes replies in your brand voice and either posts them or holds them for approval.
  • Podium: AI review responses on every plan, with the AI Reputation Specialist on Pro and automated AI responses as an add-on.
  • Reputation: AI Auto-Response drafts brand-aligned replies on the $80 entry plan, and Managed Services can take over replies entirely.
  • Trustpilot: AI-assisted replies on Premium and Enterprise only.
  • Yotpo Reviews: review comments with templates on every plan; AI-assisted comments on custom-priced Premium.
  • Judge.me: AI reply suggestions on the $15 Awesome plan.

If you have many locations or a regulated industry, look for an approval step before AI replies go live. Birdeye says this outright.

Widgets and syndication

For online stores, displaying reviews is half the job. Judge.me and Yotpo both include product page widgets and star ratings on their free plans. Yotpo adds a carousel and photo reviews on Starter and AI summaries on Pro; Judge.me puts AI summaries, Q&A and more widgets in its $15 plan. For syndication, Yotpo shares reviews to Google Shopping Ads and, on Pro, to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok shops, with retail syndication as a Premium add-on. Judge.me syndicates to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok Shop and the Shop app on Awesome.

Trustpilot's TrustBox widgets show your TrustScore on your site; Plus includes 10 widgets and Premium 21. Local tools take a different approach: Birdeye turns top reviews into branded social posts and web content, and Reputation streams top-rated reviews to your website and channels.

Pricing models compared

The six tools use six different pricing models, and the model matters as much as the headline number.

  • Quote by location: Birdeye publishes no prices and quotes by number of locations.
  • Per location: Reputation charges $80 to $150 per location per month.
  • Flat plan plus usage fees: Podium charges $399 or $599 a month, plus texting, number and phone fees and usage limits.
  • Per domain, annual contract: Trustpilot starts at $99 per domain per month, billed annually on a 12-month commitment.
  • By monthly orders: Yotpo Reviews goes from $15 to $379 a month on published plans, depending on orders.
  • Flat: Judge.me is $15 a month at any size.

For a 20-location brand, Reputation's entry plan works out at $1,600 a month before add-ons. A 2,500-order store pays $299 a month on Yotpo Pro or $15 on Judge.me Awesome. Get a written quote for Birdeye, Podium and any Trustpilot add-ons before comparing.

How to choose review management software

  1. Decide which reviews matter. If customers find you on Google Maps, you need a local tool (Birdeye, Podium or Reputation). If they buy on your website, you need a product review tool (Judge.me or Yotpo). If you want an independent public profile, consider Trustpilot.
  2. Count locations, domains and orders. These drive the price: locations for Birdeye and Reputation, domains for Trustpilot, orders for Yotpo.
  3. Check the request channel. Local customers respond to texts; online shoppers expect an email after delivery. Make sure the tool sends on the channel your customers use.
  4. Check which review sites are covered. Some industry sites cost extra (Reputation's Premium Sources), and Birdeye covers 200+ sites.
  5. Decide how much AI you want. If you want AI replies, check the plan: they are on every Podium and Reputation plan, but Trustpilot and Yotpo keep them on top tiers.
  6. Read the contract. Trustpilot requires 12 months prepaid; Judge.me lets you cancel any time.

Final recommendations

  • Best overall for local and multi-location businesses: Birdeye.
  • Best for local businesses that sell by text: Podium.
  • Best per-location pricing for multi-location brands: Reputation.
  • Best independent public review profile: Trustpilot.
  • Best for growing stores wanting Google and social syndication: Yotpo Reviews.
  • Best value for Shopify stores: Judge.me.

Conclusion

The best review management software depends first on where your reviews need to show up. For local and multi-location businesses, Birdeye is the most complete choice: review requests by text and email, monitoring on 200+ sites, AI replies with approval and listings management, sold by quote. Reputation is the better pick if you want a published price per location, and Podium if your team already lives in text messages. For online stores, Judge.me is hard to beat on value at a flat $15/month, and Yotpo Reviews is the step up for Google Seller Ratings and broader platform support. Trustpilot fits brands that want a recognized public profile and can commit to an annual contract.

Frequently asked questions

Birdeye is our top pick for local and multi-location businesses. It sends review requests by text, email or both, monitors reviews on 200+ sites, drafts AI replies that can wait for approval, and manages listings on Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing. It does not publish prices. Podium and Reputation are the main alternatives.
